Beginning in sales in 1984, Jim became President of GKC in 2009. His kitchen designs are enjoyed by thousands of homeowners throughout Hampton Roads and he takes great pride in creating a space that is functional and livable. He won Gold for Best in Show at the 2011 Fall Homearama and 2012 Spring Homearama. He is also passionate about supporting St. Jude's Children’s Research Hospital, and each year GKC designs and donates cabinets to the St. Jude's Dream Home Giveaway. Jim is a native of Norfolk and ODU graduate.


Dollie Aube

Design/Sales Consultant

Dollie has 40 years of kitchen design/sales experience to draw upon when assisting customers create the kitchen of their dreams. Dollie had been with the former Norfolk based Kitchen Towne 15 years when it was acquired by GKC in 1991. Dollie’s most memorable project was a $90,000 order for a customer that literally had Kraftmaid cabinets installed in every room of the house.


Renee Torgler

Design/Sales Consultant

Renee joined GKC's design team in 2001. Her kitchen designs have won Gold for Best in Show at Homearama and a Tidewater Builders Association “Stanley Award.” Renee studied design at Tidewater Community College and St. Leo’s College. In 2011, she was recognized in the Designer Spotlight on Kraftmaid Cabinets website. Renee loves working with people to achieve their dream kitchen.


Heather Brewer

Heather joined GKC's design team in 2006. The North Carolina native studied design at Tidewater Community College and East Carolina University. In 2011, Heather was recognized in the Designer Spotlight on Kraftmaid Cabinets website. Heather loves the creativity of kitchen design and that no two kitchens are the same.


Casey Petrice

Design/Sales Consultant

Casey is a Virginia Beach native who has been with GKC since 2010. She has an interior design degree from East Carolina University. She takes a holistic approach to design and really gets to know her clients needs and desires for their new space. She loves helping a family create a space that they love!


Marye Holland

Marye Holland

Design/Sales Consultant

Marye joined GKC in 2016 with over 14 years of design experience providing vast knowledge of cabinets and kitchen design, covering both new construction and remodels. She is a native of the Outer Banks and earned her degree in fine arts from East Carolina University. Marye's passion for design and constant accessibility greatly benefit her clients. She feels that the design work is done when her clients love their completed kitchen remodel.


Rip Montague

Rip Montague

General Manager

Rip has been with GKC since 2008 and has enjoyed working in many areas of the building industry for over 30 years. In the 1980s, Rip was the CFO of Greenwich Supply, the former parent company of GKC. Rip is a native of Norfolk and graduate of Wake Forest University. He resides in Chesapeake where he is active in youth sports.


John Hepburn

Builder/Commercial Sales & Operations Manager

John joined GKC in 2011 and brings over 25 years of expertise to every project and each home. His extensive experience in design and project management provides his clients with a seasoned approach to any kitchen. John also assists in daily operations, quality control and customer service.


Rick Sharp

Rick Sharp

Remodeling Manager

Rick joined GKC in 2016. Prior to joining GKC, he owned and operated Gryphon Construction in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. To be closer to his wife's family, they made the move to Virginia Beach. Rick is a graduate of Penn State University and, naturally, a Steelers fan.


George Farrington

George Farrington

Remodeling Sales

Having joined GKC in 1980, George is the longest tenured employee of GKC. During his career, he has worked in most areas of the business including sales, customer service and top fabrication before joining the remodeling department in 2001. His easy manner is particularly helpful in guiding customers through remodeling decisions. George brings a wealth of experience to GKC customer remodeling projects having been personally involved in over 500 remodeling jobs.


Mike Schompert

Mike Schompert

Remodeling Superintendent

Mike joined GKC in May of 2012. His combination of construction and cabinet experience made him an ideal candidate for GKC’s growing remodeling department. Previously, Mike was a superintendent for his father’s Suffolk based residential building company and has also worked as an installer for a local cabinet dealer. Mike’s favorite pastimes are playing with his two boys and fishing.


Ryan Childers

Remodeling Assistant

No one works harder on Greenwich's remodeling projects than Ryan. Since joining GKC in 2015, he has become the lead man on the important tear-out phase of kitchen remodels. Additionally Ryan handles much of the trim and punch out work. As the son of a new home building superintendent, residential construction is in Ryan's blood.


Don Hughes

Installation Supervisor

Don has been a valued member of GKC's team since 1991. Prior to joining GKC, Don owned and operated a top shop in Norfolk. Don is recognized for his attention to detail and his ability to customize cabinetry to create the best installation and there isn’t much Don can’t modify or fabricate in the GKC shop to meet job specifications. The Virginia Beach native is a graduate of Kellam High School. Away from the job Don enjoys golf and bowling.


Courtney Kane

Courtney Kane

Purchasing/Scheduling

Courtney has the critical responsibility for placing the individual kitchen cabinet orders with Kraftmaid, Merillat or Shiloh. Courtney joined GKC in 2003 and, in 2015, added scheduling to her responsibilities. Her attention to detail and experience makes her the perfect fit for this important role. Courtney is a Richmond native and graduate of James Madison University.


Maurice Harold

Maurice Harold

Shipping/Receiving Supervisor

Maurice or “Rece” as he is known at GKC, joined the GKC team in 1993 as a delivery helper. The importance of shipping and receiving is often overlooked, but both care and accuracy in this area are essential to preventing damage and having the right cabinets on the job. No one does it better that Rece and his department. Rece grew up in Virginia Beach where he graduated from Green Run H.S. He played college and semi-pro football before settling into his career at GKC. In his spare time he loves following football, but most of all, he loves playing with his granddaughter.


Ronnie Barham

Delivery Driver

Ronnie started as a temporary employee with GKC in 1999, but quickly earned a permanent employee position. Working alongside Rece, this Chesapeake native makes sure GKC customers receive their cabinets on time and in perfect condition.


David Tester

David Tester

“Semi-Retired”

Although David officially retired in 2015, after 18 years with GKC, he continues to help by meeting city inspectors when needed. David’s easy manner and skills make him a hit with GKC customers. He is active at his church, where he plays guitar and sings in the choir, and he also umpires youth baseball.


Janet Waltz

Janet Waltz

Bookkeeper

No one has broader experiences within GKC or is more versatile than Janet. Since joining GKC in 1996, she has a served as Remodeling Supervisor, Warehouse/Top Shop Manager and Installation Scheduler. All of her operations experience helps bring the numbers to life in her current capacity as GKC’s bookkeeper, a position she has had since 2008. Janet and her family live in the Salem Woods section of Virginia Beach where she is active in teenage programs at her church.
